New Years 2013

Well, our New Year celebration was quite different than anticipated. I worked in the ER until 830p and came home only to develop a fever and sinus cold (still recovering). Joe had food and drink for us to enjoy alone together but the sparks were fizzled due to my illness. Oh well, there will be plenty more opportunities to come, I am sure.

The boys were at different grandparents houses for the night. Mark enjoyed a fun evening watching the ball drop in NYC with Nanny and Papa, promptly falling asleep once it was done.

Matthew was with my parents and my niece was there as well. Here's my mom's recap of the evenings events...Happy New Year everyone!

Emily and Matthew spent the night last night.  After the 4:30 PM Mass we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner.  Then we watched a couple of hours of AFV ... Now it was 9 PMand they needed to crack open their piggy bank which was about 9 years old and nearly filled with coins.  That was fun ... they each had about $35 ... a nice sum.   Off to the back yard where Matthew shared his sparklers with Emily ... the moon in the back ground came in and out of the clouds.  It was fun and "cold- temp wise" evening.  Bob and I went to bed at 10... they stayed awake until midnight.  Needless to say, both were tired this morning.  We had a "farmer's" breakfast: eggs, hash browns, turkey sausage patties and toast.  We took Emily home at 11:30 and Matthew was taken home at 1.

Happy New Year to each of you.   Mary
